HC Deb 02 March 1936 vol 309 c1014W
Mr. GOLDIE

asked the Postmaster-General whether, in view of the difficulty of obtaining small change out of business hours, he will arrange for the discontinuance of the present slot machines delivering single halfpenny stamps on the insertion of a halfpenny, and substitute in place thereof machines which, on the insertion of one penny, will deliver two halfpenny stamps, similar to that now provided for the convenience of Members in the Library of the House of Commons?

Major TRYON

I have considered this question, but I do not think there are sufficient grounds for undertaking the change suggested by the hon. Member.
