Member will find statistic s of the numbers of persons assessed to Income Tax and Surtax in Tables 43, 55 and 56 of the Seventy-seventh Annual Report of the Commissioners of Inland Revenue (Cmd. 4739). The last table shows the numbers assessed to Surtax in ranges of total in come from £2,000 upwards, but no similar classification by ranges of total income is available for persons with incomes not exceeding £2,000.
