HL Deb 31 July 1936 vol 102 cc465-6WA
LORD NOEL-BUXTON

asked His Majesty's Government if they will support the application of the representatives of the Emperor of Abyssinia to be recognised as delegates to the forthcoming meeting of the Assembly of the League of Nations?

VISCOUNT HALIFAX

The question of the acceptance of any full powers presented by Abyssinian delegates at the forthcoming session of the Assembly would be one for the Assembly itself to decide, and the United Kingdom representative, in common with the representatives of other Members of the League, would no doubt take into consideration all relevant circumstances existing at that time.

House adjourned at fourteen minutes past twelve o'clock.
