§ Lieut.-Colonel HENEAGEasked the Minister of Pensions, as representing the First Commissioner of Works, whether he will gave the cause for the delay in deciding on a new building to house the 1759W Income Tax officials in Louth; how long the project has been considered; when new accommodation will be provided; and whether he is aware that the present building is affecting the health of those using it owing to damp and various causes?
Mr. HUDSONThere has been no avoidable delay in deciding upon a scheme for rehousing the Inland Revenue staff in Louth, although the project has been under consideration for some time. It is hoped that a new building will be ready for occupation within the next six months. My Noble Friend is aware that the present premises are unsatisfactory, but he is informed that the health of the staff has been good.
