Mr. HUDSONThe Office of Works has recently made a survey of the remains of that part of London Wall which runs across Tower Hill, and the results of an authoritative survey of the whole Wall have been recorded in the volume on Roman London published by the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments in England. Suitable portions of London Wall are being considered for scheduling under the Ancient Monuments Acts, and the First Commissioner hopes that his Department will be able to assist in the preservation of part of the Wall on Tower Hill as an ancient monument.
