§ Mr. REMERasked the Secretary of State for War whether, in view of the possible difficulty in an emergency of obtaining supplies from overseas for the essential materials for the manufacture of gas masks, he will give instructions that so far as possible British materials only shall be used; and, where essential supplies are not now available in Great Britain, will he cause to be circulated among suitable British manufacturers the requirements of the War Office in this respect?
Mr. COOPERAll manufactured articles used in the construction of gas masks are obtained from manufacturers in this country, and no difficulty is anticipated in obtaining those requirements in this country in an emergency.
