The total numbers of persons in receipt of poor relief in these county boroughs (including dependants but excluding rate-aided patients in mental hospitals and persons in receipt of 625W domiciliary medical relief only) on Saturday, 20th June, 1936, and the corresponding Saturdays in 1930 and 1935, were as follow:
