SIMONSection 14 of the Summary Jurisdiction Act, 1848, provides that the justices are to hear the prosecutor and such witnesses as he may examine and such other evidence as he may adduce, and so far as I am aware the position of a police officer, when he is the prosecutor, does not differ in this respect from that of a private individual.
