WOODBetween the 1st October, 1931, and the 31st December, 1935, 25,727 houses were provided with State assistance in Greater London, that is, the area which approximates to the Metropolitan Police District. The Object of the conditions on which this assistance is granted is to secure that the rents should be within the means of persons of the working classes.
