§ Mr. W. S. MORRISONI have received a report of the conclusions of the conference, at which 12 Governments were represented. On the subject of the 1451W regulation of the meshes of fishing nets the delegates were almost unanimously in favour of the measurements required by the regulations at present in force in this country. On the subject of size limits for fish, also, a large measure of agreement was reached. There were, however, differences of view which made it desirable that the delegates should have an opportunity of further consulting their respective Governments. The report of the conference will accordingly be transmitted to the Governments concerned without avoidable delay, and I hope that the conference will reassemble early in the new year, and will then be able to draft proposals which might be embodied in an International Convention.
