asked the Postmaster-General whether it is proposed to further extend the policy of the overseas wireless telephone service from this country with ocean liners and other countries by direct radio telephone service; and will he give particulars?

It is the policy of the Post Office to extend the scope of the overseas telephone service by the establishment of direct or indirect radiotelephone services wherever suitable arrangements can be made. During the past six months the service has been extended to Ceylon, Kenya, Tasmania, Paraguay, Honduras, the Dominican Republic and French Equatorial Africa, as
