HC Deb 09 April 1936 vol 310 c2970W
Commander LOCKER - LAMPSON

asked the Minister of Transport whether his attention has been drawn to the excessive illumination of buildings on main roads, causing confusion to motorists, either by glare or the danger of a motorist not observing a traffic signal, which may be difficult to see with a background of light of the same colour; and whether he will take action to deal with this?

Mr. HORE-BELISHA

I would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the reply which I gave to the hon. Member for North Tottenham (Mr. R. C. Morrison) on 26th February, of which I am sending him a copy.
