HC Deb 09 April 1936 vol 310 c2957W
Mr. C. S. TAYLOR

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether facilities will be granted to Members of Parliament to visit and inspect the "Queen Mary"?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply which I gave on the 12th March last to the hon. Member for Plaistow (Mr. Thorne). I understand, however, that an invitation has been received from the chairman of the Cunard White Star Company for a limited number of Members of both Houses of Parliament to inspect the "Queen Mary" at Southampton on Saturday, 16th May. Arrangements will be made for details to be given to Members in due course.
