HC Deb 09 April 1936 vol 310 c2968W
Mr. POTTS

asked the Postmaster-General whether he will consider abolishing the regulations whereby Post Office workers are partially prohibited from taking part in Parliamentary and municipal elections?

Sir W. WOMERSLEY

I do not consider it advisable to modify the existing regulations. Post Office servants are permitted to become candidates for and to serve on municipal councils.
