HC Deb 02 April 1936 vol 310 cc2159-60W
Mr. GARTLAND

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he has considered a letter sent from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders with reference to the Budget; and whether, in planning his proposals, he will bear in mind the number of ancillary trades which would benefit from any reduction in the horse-power tax and the petrol and oil duties?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative and to the second that all relevant matters will be taken into consideration.
