asked the President of the Board of Trade whether his attention has been drawn to the decision of the Indian Legislature that the trade agreement between the United Kingdom and India should be denounced; and whether, in these circumstances, he will give consideration to those British manufacturing industries that are exposed to serious competition from Indian manufacturers?

I am aware that the Legislative Assembly has passed a Motion recommending the Governor-General in Council to give notice to terminate the Ottawa Agreement. If the Government of India act in accordance with this

gainfully occupied females aged 14 years and over in Great Britain enumerated as indoor domestic servants. Of these, 107,288 described themselves in the Census returns as out of work.
