§ Sir J. GILMOURI find that the defendant in question was convicted and sentenced at the West Ham Petty Sessions in February, and that his appeal to Quarter Sessions was dismissed on the 16th instant. If there are any special1422W circumstances which the hon. Member wishes to bring to my notice, I shall be prepared to consider them, but I could not regard the defendant's age as in itself affording ground for recommending any remission of the sentence imposed on him.
