Mr. MITCHELLasked the First Commissioner of Works whether he can take steps to have the scavenging in Richmond Park improved, with particular reference to glass bottles likely to injure horses?
§ Mr. ORMSBY-GOREI am informed that the trouble arises from bottles which are thrown into the bracken during the summer. It is almost impossible to detect them until the spring, when a general clearance is made. This year's clearance is still proceeding, and will be completed within 10 days. I would make a most earnest appeal to those responsible to realise the danger to general users of the park, as well as horses and dogs, which arises from their inconsiderate action.
