asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he will state the figures for the iron and steel industry and the tinplate industry, respectively, showing the output and prices per ton for each of the years 1913, 1920, and 1934?

According to statistics published by the British Iron and Steel Federation, the output of pig iron and of steel ingots and castings in the years 1913, 1920, and 1934 was as follows:

The following table shows the number, tonnage and declared value of vessels (other than war vessels) and of war vessels exported from the United Kingdom during each of the years specified.

The output of tinned, terne and black plates amounted to 608,500 tons in 1920 and to 747,600 tons in 1934. Corresponding particulars in respect of the year 1913 are not available.
