asked the Home Secretary whether he is aware that, on a large number of omnibus routes, the omnibuses are running at speeds of 40 miles an hour or more, as for instance in Lawrie Park Road, S.E.26, where they frequently run at this speed; and, having regard to the fact that this has been going on for a long time, why have no steps been taken to control these speeds on omnibuses?
