HC Deb 21 March 1935 vol 299 cc1391-2W
Mr. HUTCHISON

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Air the number of towns which possess air-ports and those which are contemplating the creation of such ports; and whether in a matter of this nature his Department will take steps to ensure some co-ordinated action between towns in respect of this work?

Sir P. SASSOON

Twenty-one municipal aerodromes serving 22 towns have already been established, and some 22 further towns have the establishment of aerodromes under active consideration. As regards co-ordination, I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given to my hon. Friend the Member for Altrincham (Sir E. Grigg) on 11th March.
