HC Deb 17 June 1935 vol 303 c31W
Lieut.-Colonel HENEAGE

asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office whether he is aware that Royal Artillery officers are often unwilling to take up adjutancies in the Territorial Army, owing to the allowances not covering the extra cost involved and the difficulties of arranging for suitable officers to be posted voluntarily unless in possession of private means; and can he make any statement on the subject?

Mr. HACKING

I can assure my hon. and gallant Friend that the question of the supply of officers to fill the appointments of adjutant to Royal Artillery and other units of the Territorial Army is constantly under review in all its bearings. I have no statement to make on the subject at the moment.
