HC Deb 21 February 1935 vol 298 c546W
Mr. G. GRIFFITHS

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty what is the cost of the salutes when the Atlantic Fleet visits Gibraltar?

Sir B. EYRES-MONSELL

The number of saluting rounds which would be fired in the course of a visit of the Home Fleet to Gibraltar is dependent upon such a variety of indeterminate factors that I am afraid it is impossible to give any reliable estimate of the cost.
