§ Mr. SMEDLEY CROOKEasked the President of the Board of Education whether he can state the nature of the grant which the Government propose to make to the nursery schools and the date on which it will become operative?
Mr. STANLEYThe Board of Education have for many years made grants to nursery schools at the rate of one half 1421W of the recognised expenditure. No new type of grant is proposed, but it is the Government's intention to encourage the increase of the number of nursery schools eligible for grant.
