HC Deb 13 December 1935 vol 307 cc1281-2W
Mr. SHORT

asked the Minister of Health whether he will state the number of houses built to sell in Doncaster during 1931, 1932, 1933, 1934, and 1935, respectively?

Sir K. WOOD

For the years ended 30th September, 1934 and 1935, the numbers of houses erected for sale were 150 and 521 respectively. I regret that information as to the numbers erected for sale in the three previous years is not available.

Mr. SHORT

asked the Minister of Health whether any slum-clearance schemes have been sanctioned in Doncaster; and, if so, how many houses are scheduled for clearance?

Sir K. WOOD

Orders have been confirmed for the clearance of 21 areas containing 190 houses. The five-year programme submitted by the Town Council provides for the demolition of a further 227 unfit houses.
