Expenditure under this head, which cannot properly be described, as the right hon. Member suggests, as a subvention to agricultural interests, is now merged in the block grants payable under the Local Government Act, 1929. The right hon. Member would be in error in assuming that the policy of the Government is to apply a means test to every primary producer in this country, and the answer to the last part of the question is in the negative.
