§ Mr. RHYS DAVIESasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether, in view of the fact that the elections in Poland under the 2870W new constitution are being held in September of this year, he will instruct the British delegate to the forthcoming meeting of the Council of the League of Nations to expedite the inquiry into the petition concerning the treatment of the Ukrainian minority in Poland, which was signed by a number of British Members of Parliament and others, and is now under consideration by a committee of three, and which dealt, inter alia, with certain features of the new Polish Constitution?
§ Sir S. HOAREI think that the committee of three is in the best position to judge whether the circumstances referred to by the hon. Member render it desirable to expedite the conclusion of the inquiry.
