§ Mr. COCKSasked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether it is intended to supplement the Anglo-German Naval Agreement with provisions for supervision, in order to provide that the ratios laid down shall not be exceeded?
Sir B. EYRES MONSELLThe answer is in the negative. It is proposed, for the purposes of the Anglo-German Naval Agreement, to rely upon arrangements for publicity of naval construction similar to those included in the Washington and London Naval Treaties. In this connection, I would refer the hon. Member to my reply to a question by the hon. and gallant Member for Carlisle (Brigadier-General Spears) on 24th July, 1935.
