§ Mr. HORE-BELISHAThe examination of records as to hours of work of drivers of goods vehicles is one of a number of duties entrusted to officers and examiners appointed by the Minister of Transport under the Road Traffic Act, 1930, and the Road and Rail Traffic Act, 1933. The number of these officers at the present date is 238. Police constables are also authorised to examine these records. The total number of examinations made is not aggregated.
§ Mr. MACLEANasked the Minister of Transport whether he has yet decided to take any action against the employers of a lorry driver who was charged at Cardiff Police Court on 27th March with driving more than five and a half hours and who had been dismissed from his employment?
