§ Mr. SHAKESPEAREI am advised that the recent experience as regards diphtheria in Leeds accords with the general upward trend in the incidence of the disease which has recently affected all the large urban centres, especially those in the West Riding of Yorkshire. The answer to the second part of the question is in the negative.
