Mr. STANLEYThe number of unemployed seamen, aged 18 and over, on the registers of Employment Exchanges in Great Britain at 23rd July, 1934, the latest date for which figures are available, was 32,093. The corresponding figures in July, 1933, 1932 and 1929 were respectively, 36,921, 37,882 and 15,150. Separate statistics in respect of seamen of British nationality are not available.
