HC Deb 15 May 1934 vol 289 cc1631-2W
Captain FULLER

asked the Secretary of State for India how many Burmans have been granted King's Commissions since the War; how many are now serving; and whether there are any Burmans or other races indigenous to Burma attending the Indian Sandhurst, Dehra Dun?

Sir S. HOARE

Complete information is not available as to the number of Burmans who have been granted King's Commissions. From such information as is available, it appears that six have been granted commissions of whom one is still serving, but this cannot be taken as exhaustive. There appears to be one Burman cadet at the Indian Military Academy.
