HC Deb 09 March 1934 vol 286 c2172W
Mr. McENTEE

asked the Home Secretary the pay or allowances made to divisional commandants and to officers of higher rank in the Special Constabulary?

Sir J. GILMOUR

Divisional commandants of the Special Constabulary receive allowances towards their out-of-pocket expenses, varying from about £2 to about £7 a week, according to the size of their divisions and the number of special constables in them. Two officers of higher rank at headquarters receive salaries of approximately £600 and £400 per annum.
