Mr. LAWSON

asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office if he is aware that ex-soldier clerks are only given credit for half of their service up to 1920 in computing their pensions; and whether he will arrange to credit them with every year served for this purpose?

With regard to the second part, the existing practice is in accordance with the normal rule applicable to such classes, and I am unaware of any circumstances which would justify a departure from it.
