§ Sir J. GILMOURIt is the case that the reconstruction of the officers' quarters at Pentonville Prison will occupy some five years. I regret the inconvenience to the prison officers in the other quarters due to the storage of material arising from the demolition of the old quarters and their rebuilding. Owing to the limited space available it is not possible to avoid this inconvenience, but care will be taken to see that it is reduced to a minimum.
