HC Deb 19 July 1934 vol 292 cc1284-5W
Mr. D. G. SOMERVILLE

asked the Postmaster-General if he will introduce into the telephone service arrangements by which a subscriber could be warned while in the course of any conversation on the telephone that another subscriber was calling and wishing to speak to him as well, in view of the fact that such a warning would be welcomed by telephone users and would conduce to the efficiency of the service?

Sir K. WOOD

I am having this question examined, and I will write to my hon. Friend in due course.
