§ Captain FULLERasked the Secretary of State for India how many Indian students, repatriated in 1933, were scholarship students or otherwise assisted by the Government; and what steps are taken by the Government of India to ensure that students are likely to benefit by their stay here and not suffer in pocket, health and peace of mind?
§ Sir S. HOAREIn the year ending September, 1933, no Government scholars were repatriated beyond those who returned to India in the normal way with passages provided under the terms of their scholarships. As regards the second part, I would refer my hon. Friend to the latest report on the work of the Education Department of the Office of the High Commissioner for India, a, copy of which I am placing in the Library of the House.
