HC Deb 13 July 1934 vol 292 cc667-8W
Mr. RHYS DAVIES

asked the Minister of Health approximately how many in- sured persons have been compelled to cease membership of approved societies for health insurance purposes up to the. last convenient available date consequent upon the passing of the 1932 Act who would have been kept in insurance if the Prolongation of Insurance Act had been continued?

Sir H. YOUNG

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply which I gave on 17th April last to the hon. Member for Plaistow (Mr. Thorne). Since that date a few additional exits from health insurance at 31st December, 1933, and also a certain number of reinstatements, have been notified to the Department, but precise figures will not be available until the contribution cards for the first half of 1934 have been examined.
