HC Deb 21 February 1934 vol 286 cc356-8W
Sir W. GREAVES-LORD

asked the Home Secretary whether he has under consideration the provision of a training centre for provincial policewomen to which chief constables in England and Wales may send selected women police recruits, as has been done in Scotland, where the police authorities have been notified that the Glasgow police training school will undertake this training?

Sir J. GILMOUR

If facilities for central training are desired, I have no doubt that arrangements for the purpose could be made with the chief officer of one of the larger police forces.
