§ Captain ERSKINE-BOLSTasked the Minister of Health whether he is satisfied that the water supplies of the chief Lancashire towns are adequate in view of possible droughts; and, if not, whether he is taking any action, in the light of the experiences of 1933, to suggest improvements?
Sir H. YOUNGI am in close touch with the position in the Lancashire towns. The local authorities of the towns have withstood remarkably well the severe test of the exceptional drought in 1933. Improvements have been and are being made where necessary.
