Of the total number employed on 19th June, 1921, and 26th April, 1931, on sea going vessels (except yachts) registered at ports in the United Kingdom, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands, under Part I of the Merchant Shipping Act, 1894, seamen other than Lascars were recorded in the following proportions:
