§ THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION (VISCOUNT HALIFAX)The number of children on the registers of public elementary schools in the Administrative County of Somerset on the 30th September last (excluding areas which are autonomous for purposes of elementary education) was 41,353. I am informed by the Milk Marketing Board that it is at present impossible to give an estimate of the number of children who are receiving milk in this area under the Milk in Schools scheme. So far as I am aware the milk supplied is not limited to pasteurised or tuberculin tested milk.
