HC Deb 30 November 1933 vol 283 c1066W
Mr. LYONS

asked the President of the Board of Trade the countries which, by virtue of the operation of the Most-Favoured-Nation Clause, have received or will receive tariff concessions co-extensive with this country in the respective foreign trading agreements that have been completed?

Mr. RUNCIMAN

Whether the tariff concessions secured for United Kingdom trade by these agreements will be extended in terms to the products of third countries is a question which could only be answered after examination of a large number of widely differing foreign commercial treaties, and with full knowledge, which His Majesty's Government do not possess, of the commercial policy and intentions of foreign countries.
