HC Deb 24 November 1933 vol 283 cc406-7W
Sir L. FORESTIER-WALKER

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware that the Inland Revenue authorities are seeking to insist that, even when a taxpayer at the time of making his return of income has requested that his personal allowance be set against a Schedule D assessment, such allowance shall be set against a Schedule E assessment; and whether this insistence has his approval?

Mr. HORE-BELISHA

I am not precisely clear as to the point of difficulty, but if my hon. Friend will give me particulars of any complaint I will inquire into it.
