HC Deb 17 November 1933 vol 281 cc1190-2W
Mr. T. WILLIAMS

asked the President of the Board of Trade, if he will publish a statement giving particulars of the arms and munitions and naval and military stores, not including sporting arms and munitions, in respect of which he has issued licences to export to China and Japan in July, August, September, and October, 1933?

Dr. BURGIN

The following statement gives the desired information.

under the Import Duties Act and the Ottawa Agreements, the imports dutiable under other enactments, and the imports which are free of duty?

Dr. BURGIN

I regret that the desired information is not available. Table VIII of Volume II of the Annual Statement of Trade for 1932, which will probably be published next month, will, however, contain information in regard to imports during 1932 of articles dutiable under the Import Duties Act, showing the value of goods entered for home consumption at each percentage rate of ad valorem duty, and the value of goods liable to specific duty, classified in each case according to the groups in the official Import List.
