§ Sir P. GOFFasked the Secretary of Stare for Foreign Affairs whether he is now in a position to report what arrangements have been made by the Brazilian authorities to terminate the loss caused to British holders of the defaulted obligations of the State of Rio do Janeiro floated in England; and, if no decision has yet been arrived at, will he make representations to the Brazilian authorities on the subject?
§ Mr. EDENI would refer my hon. and learned Friend to the reply given to my hon. Friend the Member for Newcastle-upon-Tyne North (Sir N. Grattan-Doyle) on Thursday last. I have at present nothing to add to that reply.
