Mr. LeeIt is MOD policy to remove potentially hazardous material from RN ships before they are sold for breaking up or, in the specific case of asbestos, to obtain a written undertaking from the shipbreakers that they will abide by the asbestos regulations and the Health and Safety at Work ect. Act 1974.
