§ Sir S. HOAREI regret that nothing can be found in the recent pronouncements of Mr. Gandhi that would bear out the statement made in the first part of the question. The policy of the Government regarding the release of Civil Disobedience prisoners has been frequently stated, and I see no reason to modify it. The Ordinances have, of course, been replaced by Central 'and Provincial Acts.
