HC Deb 31 May 1933 vol 278 cc1883-4W
Mr. JOEL

asked the Minister of Labour whether he can make any statement as to the intention of the Government to set up a committee to study the effect of a five-day week?

Mr. HUDSON

I assume that my hon. Friend has in mind the proposals for a 40-hour week, and on this I would refer him to a reply I have given to-day to the hon. Member for Wolverhampton, East (Mr. Mander).
