§ Major ELLIOTMy right hon. Friends the Secretary of State for Scotland, the Secretary of State for the Home Department and I propose to make Orders under Clauses 2, 3 and 4, as soon as the Sea-Fishing Industry Bill receives Royal Assent. I hope that an Order under Clause 1 regulating landings of foreign-caught sea fish will be made so as to come into force early in the month of August. Owing to recent heavy landings from the Bear Island grounds in Hull and Grimsby, the port price of cod has fallen to less than ½d. a, lb. My colleagues and I propose accordingly to make our Order under Clause 2, which will prohibit the landing of fish in the2808W United Kingdom from that area, so as to cover the month of September as well as the previous three months.
